today in my photo lighting class we had a little something called PHOTOPALOOZA. hair&makeup by paulmitchell and amazzzzing models and FABULOUS photographers (duh). ha ha it was such a great experience. this photo was one of my faves so i just had to upload it right away. MUCH more to come though, its just time to call it a night for me. xoxo.

these portraits were taken in studio using gels. every effect you see in these photographs was created in the studio and captured in camera and was NOT created using photoshop or any other program. it actually turned out to be a really fun shoot.

i met lindsey in second grade. we have been close friends ever since. she was kind enough to model for me and i think she looks stunning. studio shooting really isn't my thing but i actually had a lot of fun on this shoot. it made me appreciate just how difficult it really is to work in a studio. its so technical. but i think these turned out great and i am looking forward to an entire semester of learning from the brilliant john rees who has shot for huge clients including nordstrom, nike, starbucks, and apple.
